Ivo Perić, PhD, died on the 27th January 2018 in Zagreb. Dr. Perić was an eminent scholar who for decades performed important functions in the academic life of Dubrovnik and Croatia. He was a director of the gymnasium in Dubrovnik, an employee and director of the Institute for Historical Sciences of CASA in Dubrovnik. His main research interest was the history of Dubrovnik and Croatia in the 20th century, especially the history of Croatian politics, schooling, and economy. He was the recipient of several important awards for his work, most notably the award of the city of Dubrovnik (1964) and the national award for science (1997).
